In North America, it is quite common for third-year undergraduate students to join a Study-Abroad or an Exchange program in another country. The idea is to get exposure to another culture and/or another language. This will broaden the outlook of the student and to better prepare the student to become a global citizen. With the continuing trend of globalization, a Study Abroad program will surely be beneficial to students who are internationally-oriented.

Study Abroad programs are not complicated. They are easier to join than to apply for formal admission into a degree program.

California State University, Monterey Bay is offering one such Study Abroad program.
